All-Stars (2004) - 3rd Place
This post marks the beginning of a series I will be running on this blog, where I will be going through the entire cast of Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans (allegedly) and talking about how I feel about their inclusion on the season. This series is what prompted me to start the blog, so I am very excited to get into it!
I am happy to have Jenna back. For the 50th season, we obviously needed a Borneo representative, and I am happy to have Jenna serve that role. People may say someone like Richard Hatch would have been better since he was the first winner, but I personally have no interest in seeing him play again. The other members of the Tagi Four may come to mind as representatives for the season, but Kelly was not super interesting on Cambodia, Rudy has sadly passed away, and I'm not sure if Sue would ever play Survivor again (that being said, I would love it if she did, but I don't think production would want her back). Next up is the Greg of it all. Greg would have been really fun to see back and, from what I have seen, he was called and cut. Cutting Greg is kind of insane, considering how long they have wanted him back, BUT I still think Jenna is a good choice. She was a fun character on Borneo, and proved to be a decent player on All-Stars. While the game has changed A LOT since she last played (idols didn't even exist!), I have faith in her ability to adapt. I believe she still watches the show, so she will not be going in completely blind. I think she will be able to navigate the prospect of going on a journey and losing her vote (unlike some of the other old schoolers), and we could see a deep run from her. For my sake, though, just don't put Dee or Kyle on her tribe...
